A nature abounds in unusually interesting gifts, which often remain misunderstood and undervalued for us. We are excessively preoccupied with an attention to ourselves, to our own every second existence, forgeting that a person is put in the environment called "Nature", where there is everything for a grace-filled life, but where we must live according to the laws of an equal exchange, but not in a selfish oblivion. - And this exchange goes far beyond the framework of a pragmatic decision by a person of global environmental issues and support of the eco-balance...
...Our attitude, everyday attitude to the world in which we live, is also important. Every warm thought is important such as about a noisy grass, growing on the side of the road, or about sunlight spots, running under feet, when a wind touches branches of trees... every delight from sunsets is important, to the beauty of which it`s impossible to get used to for the whole life... every admiration of century-old tree-guards, which gaze languishing frowningly at the all modern urban bustle, is important…
It is important to be inquisitive... it is important to be observant... it is important to be not indifferent to the world around us.
Our human existence may be described well as «a quest» called "A Life on the Earth". And if we try to go our way, show a patience and an understanding, a care and a kindness, a wit and a curiosity, then a nature generously will reward us revealing its secrets.
SECRETS…
We often see the natural reaction of children looking with a great delight at a creeping snail or a swarming bumblebee in a flower bud. Children are happy to respond to such manifestations of a nature, perceiving everything as an exciting adventure... And we…? - Why do we forget to be interested in this world...?
You can constantly walk past the same tree and for a long time not pay attention to it, but one day it will come into mind to pick up its fallen autumn leaf or examine the bark on its trunk. - And then you understand that this is a completely new discovery for you. - This is something that you for some reasons have never noticed... We are constantly trying to find something wonderful for thousands of kilometers from home, and sometimes it is enough just to look more attentive around…
ABOUT THE COLLECTION...
When from the early childhood you hear stories about endless snowy expanses, about the extraordinary beauty of the blooming tundra, about the indescribable northern lights, it involuntarily becomes the leitmotif of your life. A craving for a severe cold climate, for an ascetic state of a wise frozen ground, for a rarefied air, a snow, and for stars that seem much closer in the north, is already being imprinted somewhere inside and becomes a part of you.
Time after time, you return via your creativity, thoughts and dreams to these northern edges, and even through the years it remains an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The image of this collection is inspired by the color of a tundra – its mosses and lichens, when, at the end of flowering, the landscape is painted in almost "rusty" colors, and blue-grey fogs and "black" cold waters of rivers complete and reinforce the surreal effect.
Watercolor graphics and organic natural shades are close to natural forms and expressions. Each work of the collection is an image of various manifestations of the environment of the magnificent northern edge.
